Our kit lists are put together after years of experience ITEMS ARE ESSENTIAL, DO NOT COME WITHOUT THEM.

You should keep in mind the weather situation as you pack, and gear your clothing to the expected weather, always difficult in Britain!

Please write your name in/on all your kit.

Waterproof trousers - if forcast is wet

Rucksac or holdall in which to pack your kit (no suitcases!)

Change of clothes – track suit bottoms, shorts, t-shirt, fleece/sweatshirt etc - (remember jeans are really uncomfortable if they get wet) Underwear

Pj's - warm! + sweatshirt to sleep in + bed socks

(nights can get really cold even in good weather)

Small wash kit - (tooth brush & small tooth paste, flannel etc) Hand towel

Sun cream - high factor

Survival bag - in which to pack bedding (available from Yeoman's, Millet's etc). or if you don't own one a heavy weight dust bin liner.

Sleeping bag (2 season +) - nights can be much colder than expected..

Thermal roll mat (no airbeds!)

Camp blanket – (Guide camp blanket Best as are fire retardant.)

Small pillow - travel pillow ideal.

Small torch - wind up variety prefered

NO  VALUABLES - EXPENSIVE MP3'S OR OTHER ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT -

DIGITAL CAMERAS ETC, BROUGHT AT OWN RISK

Note - Mobile phones; We would rather girls left thier mobile at home; it's only one night afterall. If they can not however survive without it, it is brought along completely at their own risk! and should be kept in their personnal bag - we don't want to see them - they act as such a distraction!

Bring your GH and consent form

Refillable bottle (no glass!) and plastic box for Alton Towers packed lunch if you require one.

Day sack for Alton Towers

Lightweight waterproof jacket.

Good supportive trainers

Wellies or Crocs or flipflops

Rucksack or holdall in which to pack your kit (no suitcases!)

Change of clothes – items for Alton towers (no uniform required) plus one other change of clothes including a warm hoodie/fleece.

 Underwear

Pj's

Personal wash kit - (tooth brush & small tooth paste, flannel etc) Hand towel/shower towel

Sun cream - high factor

Plate bag - containing unbreakable mug, plate & bowl. 1 x T-towel

Survival bag - in which to pack bedding (available from Yeoman's, Millet's etc).     or if you don't own one a heavy weight dust bin liner.

Youth Hostel sleepover

Bring your GH form - (this will be emailed before the event)

·      Day sack

·      Refillable bottle (no glass!), plastic box for packed  lunch

·      Waterproof jacket and trousers

·      Walking shoes / boots  are preferable as it is likely to be very wet and muddy under foot - if not good supportive trainers

·      Hat and gloves

·     Small rucksack or holdall in which to pack your kit (no suitcases!)

·     Change of clothes –   including a T-shirt, warm hoodie/fleece, trousers (pref not jeans)- no uniform required

·     Underwear including pair of walking socks

·     Pj's and pair indoor shoes/slippers

·     Personal wash kit - (tooth brush, small tooth paste, flannel & hand towel etc)

·     Camp blanket or similar

No bedding required

NO VALUABLES  PLEASE

NOTE - MOBILE PHONES - we would rather girls left their mobiles at home; it's only one night after all. If girls do bring  phones they doso entirelyat theirown risk! Remember we cannot guarantee security!

Afternoon snack and drink in a 500ml+ refillable bottle (no glass!)

WaterproofKagoul/Coat (not padded – as very difficult to dry!)

Waterproof trousers  (essential)
